I began CrossFitting officially in 2009, officially because my life has always been focused at becoming increasingly fit across various time domains. With a background predominately in wrestling and downhill skiing, but also encompassing mountain biking, mountain running, Ulitmate Frisbee, orienteering, white water kayaking, and squash, I have experienced the full extent of what sport has to offer, and this has made me ideally suited for CrossFit. Always an active athlete with an interest in physical fitness I instantly fell in love with CrossFit and it became my sport and fitness regimen of choice. I found that it provided a competitive environment where I pushed to perform but also a platform to achieve an uncomparable level of physical fitness. I now enjoy sharing my passion for CrossFit with my members by coaching and mentoring at Reebok CrossFit 306.

In 2012 I began competitively weightlifting and qualified for the Canadian Sr nationals in my first year and the following three years as well.  I also broke all three national weightlifting records as an 85kg master's weightlifters.

In 2014 I entered the world of powerlifting and also qualified for the 2015 national championships and finished 6th in Canada.  In 2017 I won provincials in the sport and once again qualified for nationals.

In 2018 I finished 17th out of 28 789 athletes worldwide in the CrossFit Open.  My next goal are to win Pan Ams as a master weightlifter this June and win Worlds in Barcelona in August.  I also plan to compete in Powerlifting again and take all four Master's provincial record and take a shot at the national squat record.
